My Portugal from A to Z: J=Jacarandas

In my newest entry for my challenge, I consider one of the symbols of Spring, one that colors the streets of Lisbon in a spectacular hue.
The Jacaranda is a flowering plant that is familiar to any of you who don’t live a frosty climate. You have either marveled at its beautifully colored blossoms or grumbled at the same blossoms that have fallen and become stuck to your car–or perhaps you have done both.
